Shadow of the Missing by Lauren Carr

 My Review

I had forgotten  how much I enjoy Lauren Carr's books.

It has been awhile since I have read a Chris Matheson and a Geezer Squad title.

I think one of the best things that Lauren Carr does is including a cast of characters.

Which is important  because there are a lot of characters to keep straight.

There are alot of suspects in Shadows of the Missing because there are alot of victims in this 45 year old cold case.

The main story revolves around the search for Helen Chris's wife's parents.

Helen and her younger sister have memories  from the last time they saw their mom.

Lauren  Carr keeps the reader interested  with multi plots that actually  all weave together  in one main plot.

There are some great regular characters in the series that uncover leads and hidden secrets.

And new characters like Percy  that I suspect might make their way into another title.

I really enjoyed Shadows of the Missing.
And I think it might be the best one yet in this series.

I plan to reread the earlier titles in the series.

This book was especially personal because it dives so deep into Helen’s story, and I’m thrilled you felt the different plot threads came together nicely.
