Grandma's Kitchen Day 3

This beautiful poem by the Homespun Wife cause me to conjure up images of Grandma.

Join me later this morning as we visit Grandma's Kitchen.

. . . Give me a house with a nice country porch

With a winding dirt drive and a blue screen door

Give me some windows and curtains with lace

And a soft yellow cat that's warm to embrace

Give me a house with a clothesline and breeze

With daisies that keep company with a stand of strong trees

I'll take a brown barn in the woods out back

And an old-fashioned mailbox near a full firewood stack

Give me a house with some quilts and fresh bread

A well-worn Bible and a billowy bed

Give me a house that is blessed from above

With mercy and grace and plenty of love
