Basically  I got in at the end of the series. 

I mentioned  in my last review of Book 7 which BTW was great.  That I got this box set because  I wanted to read Dana Mentink's title. 

I was clueless where it fell in the series. I just wanted to read it.   

I am glad I did.  I have to say one of my favorite  parts is at the end there is a message from the author.   Since it is an audio version  it is fun hearing tge author talk about her story.   

She talks about how fast paced it is and the drama of the main characters  literally running for the lives from bad guys who want Mara dead!  

Mara and Tanner are thrown together in a race to get away and back to civilization in the midst of a snowstorm. 

Both characters  are truly strong and resilient.    

Mara knowingly getting her strength from God.  

Tanner because of a heartbreak  kind of ignoring God. Not necessarily Mad at God  or bitter or even disillusioned.  

Just heartbroken. 

Through thier journey learning to trust and  depend on each they hearts heal. 

I was a bit surprised  that the reader is left in the dark about what happened  to the convenience store owners that help Mara and Tanner.   

Did the survive? I am left thinking how could they? 

After several  days of running hiding and almost freezing the couple are rescued by their co workers. 

Snowboard Escape is a great read. 

I look forward to the next Dana Mentink  title I can get my hands on.
