Caroline's Secret by Amy Lillard My Review

About the book

An Amish single mother and a brokenhearted man could have a beautiful future together if they shed their painful pasts in this inspirational romance.

Caroline Hostetler arrived in Oklahoma determined to forge a new life for herself and her daughter, Emma. As a single mother, she values the warmth and safety she’s found in close-knit Wells Landing. She’s even caught the eye of a handsome newcomer—a man who just may be the partner she longs for and the father Emma deserves. But the arrival of an Englisher threatens to lay bare the secrets she’s worked so hard to leave behind. . .

After losing his life-long sweetheart, Andrew Fitch moved to Wells Landing to work in his uncle’s furniture business and nurse his broken heart. Finding love again seems all but impossible—until he meets Caroline and Emma. But his plans to join their lives together may be shattered when the truth of Caroline’s past comes to light—unless, together, they can learn the true meaning of sacrifice and forgiveness. . .

“[A] sweetly inspirational contemporary love story. . . . Rich with the trappings of Amish culture and tradition, the novel informs as well as entertains.” —Publishers Weekly

And I thought

This is my introduction to Author Amy Lillard.

Amish Romance is not a genre I tend to read.

I don't understand 'Thier'  'Ways'.

I don't understand that they cannot drive cars.

But they can have phones in businesses.

And electric refrigerators.

I cannot imagine the living by the rules.

But thanks to Author Amy Lillard I have a better understanding.

Amy created a beautiful sweet love stories that kept me on the edge of my seat.  Not sure that is really intended but that is what happened.

I pondered what the secret was. I pondered how the author was going to set things right.

Trey Caroline's father shows up long after Caroline meets Andrew.

I could not imagine how it would all end.

I can imagine how torn Caroline was.

But she trusted God. She prayed. She asked listened to Godly counsel.

And there was a Happy ending after all.

I enjoyed the characters.   And I have rest if the series o. My Wish List.

Author Amy Lillard has a new fan.

I enjoyed the Audible version it was free with my membership.

I was not asked to write this review.

This review will be posted on my S.M. platforms including my blogs. And Goodreads.
