And I thought .  . .  

I really  enjoyed this title. Much more than other titles  by the Author. 

For me A Crytic Clue was a fast paced book.  I turned the pages at break neck speed.  

The murder of a wealthy young woman is the main plot.  

The main character  Jane a retired librarian was hired by Millionaire or maybe Billionaire Cameron Clue (notice the play on title) to catalogue books and then . . .

Ashley gets wacked.  Ashley just happens to be Cameron or Cam's recent Ex sooo guess who is prime suspect. 

Jane ends up partnering with Lauren  Cam's Assistant and Cam doing a bunch of sleuthing. 

I was surprised  at the ending.  The author fooled me in who the culprit was. 

There is a great cast of characters.  

A few who will return I am sure in future installments. 

I plan to read book 2.  

I enjoyed  the Audio Version  a free title  on YouTube.

Shadow of the Missing by Lauren Carr

  My Review  I had forgotten  how much I enjoy Lauren Carr's books.  It has been awhile since I have read a Chris Matheson and a Geezer Squad title.  I think one of the best things that Lauren Carr does is including a cast of characters.  Which is important  because there are a lot of characters to keep straight.  There are alot of suspects in Shadows of the Missing because there are alot of victims in this 45 year old cold case.  The main story revolves around the search for Helen Chris's wife's parents.  Helen and her younger sister have memories  from the last time they saw their mom.  Lauren  Carr keeps the reader interested  with multi plots that actually  all weave together  in one main plot.    There are some great regular characters in the series that uncover leads and hidden secrets.  And new characters like Percy  that I suspect might make their way into another title.  I r...
