Chris Crossed by Lauren Carr My Review
About the book
"Carr is a master at creating unique, complex plots and colorful characters, both evident in her latest cold case mystery featuring Chris Matheson and the Geezer Squad. The plot is twisted, the mystery unique, and the ending a surprise. A must read!"- Marilyn R. Wilson, Author, Speaker, Book Reviewer

And I thought
I am a fan of Lauren Carr's characters. I first met Lauren when I read a book from the Mac Faraday series. Frankly I was disappointed that Mac seems to have taken a back seat to Chris Matheson but Chris does manage to hold his own and has crept in to become a new favorite.
I always jump at a chance to read anything Lauren Carr writes. It is always so easy to turn the pages. As with any good book you hate to read that last page. But you know that one day soon there will be more so you just wait.
Chris Crossed is an interesting title. I was wondering if the main character gets side ways with someone. The play on words had me wondering. The author is a master at building a story around cold cases. And you can see that she likes what she is doing.
The characters are always charming and they weave their way in making you kind of wanna be in their family.
Maybe it's because of all the animals that hang out and entertain and help in solving crimes. Kinda of a bit like Scooby Do. I admit Chris Matheson has worked his way into my heart along with Mac Faraday and those Thorny Rose kids.
