The author Christy Barritt thru a curve ball with this plot twist!

I love this series!  

I loved meeting Dash and along with Lizzie learning  the truth about Dash's sly ways.  

Dash isn't who he seems to be.  He really  is a good guy but he is hiding secrets from everyone.  

Luke from book 1 returns as Dash's superior and when he learns the truth. Sparks fly between the co workers and friends. 

The drama doesn't keep Dash or Levi from doing thier jobs protecting Lizzie and Preston and finding out who the stalker is. 

In the end Lizzie has a bit of surprise for Dash and he realizes his own duplicity and why he hid things was unfounded. 

I was surprised at the end.   

Emma and Danni and a couple of the other law enforcement guys make cameo appearances.

I enjoyed books that keep the cast together throughout the series. 

I cannot wait to read book 3.

  My Review  I had forgotten  how much I enjoy Lauren Carr's books.  It has been awhile since I have read a Chris Matheson and a Geezer Squad title.  I think one of the best things that Lauren Carr does is including a cast of characters.  Which is important  because there are a lot of characters to keep straight.  There are alot of suspects in Shadows of the Missing because there are alot of victims in this 45 year old cold case.  The main story revolves around the search for Helen Chris's wife's parents.  Helen and her younger sister have memories  from the last time they saw their mom.  Lauren  Carr keeps the reader interested  with multi plots that actually  all weave together  in one main plot.    There are some great regular characters in the series that uncover leads and hidden secrets.  And new characters like Percy  that I suspect might make their way into another title.  I r...
