Crochet Rose Pattern Instructions

Row 1: Ch 63. 1 dc in 4th ch from hk and in each rem ch. Ch 1 and turn. (61 sts)

Row 2: Ch 1. 1 sc in first st. *Sk next st, 8 dc in next. Sk next st, sc in next. Rep from * to end of row. (15 scallops created)

How to Assemble the Rose:

Step 1: Fasten off leaving a tail that measures at least 8 inches long. Starting from the opposite end of tail, loosely roll to form the rose.

If you want to attach the rose to a floral stem, put a bead of hot glue on the stem and roll the rose around the stem. You can continue to hot glue it as you roll the flower, or you can add more hot glue to the base of the rose.

Step 2: Thread tail on yarn needle and whip stitch from one side to the opposite, catching as many rolled layers as possible. Repeat several times until rose feels secure.

You can also put a few dabs of hot glue on the bottom to secure the rose even more. If adding a stem, I found that wrapping the stem and a small portion of the rose with floral tape worked really well!

A crochet bouquet of roses is perfect for Valentine’s day, Mother’s Day or weddings and they'll never die or wilt!
