Tilling The Truth by Julia Henry My Review
About the book
While Lilly digs into a town beautification project, her friend Tamara O’Connor has greater concerns than well-pruned geraniums. The real-estate-firm owner hasn’t been shy about blaming perennial grouch Gladys Preston for thwarting her many attempts to sell off a beautiful beachside property. But accusations fly when Gladys is suddenly found dead - and Tamara is caught standing over the body with a bloody weapon in her hand.
As Tamara becomes the prime murder suspect, Lilly and the Garden Squad ladies set out to prove that someone planted the evidence. With a potpourri of alarming clues scattered around Goosebush, cracking this case means confronting a calculating culprit with a penchant for cutting down anyone who gets in the way.
And I thought
I could not wait to begin book 2.
I found it on YouTube. But the audio video did not finish.
I was frustrated. I found the same problem with book 1. But I was able to get it to finish.
Not with book 2. I looked on Amazon and much to my surprise it was there on Audible and available for 1 credit.
Happily I finished the book.
I really loved this title.
The author kept the large cast aro
und. I was able to keep the sub characters straight in this title making it much more enjoyable.
As usual the are several suspects.
Tamara is a suspect because she found the body.
But it did not take long to clear her once the M.E. took a quick gander.
And so the mystery takes off Lilly and her friends settle in to the solve crime.
They realize that not only was the victim whacked Lilly's friend whom everyone thought died of natural causes wss poisoned.
I was disappointed along with Lilly that Delia would be leaving town. Or would she?
I was intrigued to learn more about Rowdy and already plan to read book 3 and figure him out.
Tilling The Truth was a great read.
I was not asked to review this book.
