Maverick Quilting


 How I am fixing my mistake . . . 

I began this quilt  many months ago.

It is applique and slow stitching and I am slow. 

My intention is to mail to Missouri in November for a specific girl's birthday 🎂 

 I don't remember what mistake I made or why I cut the section off. 

I intended to sew back right sides facing. 

But I realized the top of the silver trailer is almost at the edge. 

So I added a strip of batting to sew the other section to to fix. 

I plan now to position the pieces so they meet. Then I will  applique and stich to hide the join. 

I love this quilt. 

I need to make me one!

  My Review  I had forgotten  how much I enjoy Lauren Carr's books.  It has been awhile since I have read a Chris Matheson and a Geezer Squad title.  I think one of the best things that Lauren Carr does is including a cast of characters.  Which is important  because there are a lot of characters to keep straight.  There are alot of suspects in Shadows of the Missing because there are alot of victims in this 45 year old cold case.  The main story revolves around the search for Helen Chris's wife's parents.  Helen and her younger sister have memories  from the last time they saw their mom.  Lauren  Carr keeps the reader interested  with multi plots that actually  all weave together  in one main plot.    There are some great regular characters in the series that uncover leads and hidden secrets.  And new characters like Percy  that I suspect might make their way into another title.  I r...
